NINFAS, SATIROS Y DIOSES MENORES.

La oportunidad de retratar a personajes bellos en un lugar de Arcadia, convirtió el mundo de las Ninfas y los personájes míticos en el tema por excelencia a partir del Renacimiento: Las Ninfas, eran mujeres adorables que poseían poderes proféticos, y se asociaban con los bosques, las montañas y los valles. La Nayades eran las ninfas de los rios y los lagos, y las Nereidas eran las ninfas del mar 

BACO

Fauno, el antiguo soberano de los sátiros, a menudo se representaba acompañado de Baco, era venerado por los campesinos y los pastores, y se identificaba con el Dios Griego Pan, que vivió en las montañas de Arcadia. Este tenía el torso de un humano, y las colas, patas, pezuñas y cuernos de una cabra. . El Dios Pan persiguió a Siringa, ninfa del bosque. 

La desdichada joven, pidió a los dioses que la transformaran, y justo cuando Pan, creía que ya la tenía en sus manos, se encontró con que estaba agarrando un puñado de juncos.  Al suspirar indignado, indignado, estos produjeron un encantador sonido, por lo que les cortó en diferentes tamaños, los ató y los puso el nombre de Zampoña, o flauta de Pan.

Himen, el dios del matrimonio, era también hijo de Baco y Venus, y con frecuencia aparece retratado como un niño con una corona de flores, sosteniendo una antorcha encendida. Castor y Polux, eran los inseparables guerreros gemelos hijos de Júpiter y Leda, e iban montados en caballos más blancos que la nieve. En latin se les conocia como "Dioscuri", o hijos de Júpiter, y salvaron a su hermana Elena de las garras de Teseo, participaron en la caceria de Calidon y ayudaron a Jason en su busqueda del Vellocino de Oro. 

PRIAPO

Tambien llevaron a las hijas de Leucipo hasta Esparta, Castor casi muere en la pelea que tuvo lugar a continuación, pero Júpiter le prometió a Polux compartir con el su inmortalidad, y dejar a los gemelos pasar dias alternos en el Olimpo y en el Hades. 

Tambien les concedió un lugar en el cielo, al convertirlos en la constelación de Géminis, donde se encargaban de guiar a los marineros.

NYMPHS, SATYRS AND LESS GODS.

The opportunity to paint the portrait of beautiful personages in a place of Arcadia, turned the world of the Nymphs and the mythical personájes into the excellent topic from the Renaissance: 

The Nymphs, were adorable women who were possessing prophetic powers, and they were collaborating with the forests, the mountains and the vales. The Naiads were the nymphs of the rivers and the lakes, and the Nereids were the nymphs of the sea 

Faun, the ancient sovereign one of the satyrs, often was represented accompanied by Baco, was venerated by the peasants and the shepherds, and there was identified by the Greek God Bread, which lived in the mountains of Arcadia. This one had the torso of a human being, and the tails, paws, hoofs and horns of a goat. The God Pan chased Siringa, nymph of the forest. 

SILENO

The young unhappy, asked the gods to transform it, and I joust when Bread, I believed that it already had it in its hands, it met that was seizing a reeds fistful. On having sighed indignantly, indignantly, these produced a charming sound, therefore it cut them in different sizes, it tied them and the name of Panpipe put them, or Bread flute.

SIRINGA

Also they took the Leucipo daughters up to Sparta, Beaver almost dies in the fight that took place next, but Jupiter promised to Polux to share with its immortality, and to let the twins through alternate days in the Olympus and in the Hades. Also it granted a place to them in the sky, on having turned them into the constellation of Gemini, where they were in charge of guiding the sailors.
