- Pintor de iconos griego, nacido en Heraklion en la isla de Creta, el hijo de un orfebre. Se considera el mayor pintor de Creta de la segunda mitad del siglo 15. Sus trabajos proporcionaron modelos a generaciones subsecuentes de pintores del icono.
