Centauro...Centaur

Esta criatura mitológica, tenia el torso, los brazos y la cabeza de un hombre, y el cuerpo y las patas de un caballo. Se creia queQ los centauros, representaban la vileza o el caracter animal de la humanidad, y provenian de la antigua Tesalia, quiza porque sus habitantes eran conocidos por ser excelentes jinetes. Su comportamiento era a menudo salvaje y zafio: el centauro Neso , incluso intento secuestrar a la esposa de Hercules. El unico centaúro civilizado fue Quirón, cuya morfología híbrida, fue el resultado de la unión entre la ninfa Filira y Saturno, que se habia convertido asimismo en caballo , en un intento por ocultar su pasión ilicita a su celosa esposa. 

Quirón era un maestro sabio, sobre todo en los campos de la musica y la medicina, formo a muchos heroes clásicos, como por ejemplo a Esculapio, Aquiles o Jason.
