Instrumentos Musicales...Musical Instruments

La palabra griega música, significa literalmente, "el arte de las musas", y los instrumentos musicales son sus atributos. El sonido y el aspecto de algunos , tienen un significado especial. 

La TROMPETA, es heráldic ya que anuncia a un mensajero, o invoca a los muertos, el ARPA sugiere divinidad y suelen tocarla coros de angeles, la GAITA, un instrumento terrenal, pertenecia a las clases mas bajas y solian tocarla los pastores; los caramillos y los pequeños LAUDES redondeados, eran los instrumentos de los trovadores, y se tocaban para acompañar danzas folkloricas, las PANDERETAS y los címbalos eran el acompañamiento de las orgiásticas danzas de las bacanales. La ZAMPOÑA, -tubos de caña de diferentes longitudes- era un instrumento sagrado de Pan, de igual manera que la LIRA lo era de Apolo, el dios de la música y la poesía lírica.

En las alegorias, el caracter civilizado de la LIRA, solía aparecer como oposición a las armas de guerra, y los instrumentos suelen representar el sentido del oido. En pintura, la aparicion de determinados instrumentos, solia indicar modernidad, como en el caso del pequeño ORGANO portatil, muy popular durante el siglo XV, o la VIOLA DE GAMBA.

In the allegories, the civilized character of the LYRE, usually appeared like opposition to the war weapon, and the instruments usually represent the sense of the ear. In painting, the appearance of certain instruments, it usually indicated modernity, as in case of the small portable, very popular ORGAN during the XVth century, or the VIOLA OF SHRIMP.
